Acudetox was developed in the USA following initial discoveries in modern China. It involves the shallow placement of a few very small acupuncture needles under the skin of the patient's outer ear. Patients usually feel little or no pain at the time of insertion, and none for the usual 45-minute duration of the treatment. Many of the patients report feeling relaxed with increased energy and ability to focus mentally following the treatment. Treatment staff report lowered rates of relapse and program drop-out. Acupuncture is a gentle non-invasive healing modality that uses slender needles applied at specific points on the body to influence the flow of energy bringing the body's physiology into better balance. This ancient system of medicine uses laws and principles found in nature to identify and correct imbalances and blockages in the energetic pathways of the body, mind and spirit. As blockages are removed and balance is restored, the body has an opportunity to heal itself and symptoms ease. Aura Photography All living things emit electricity, which surrounds the body as electromagnetic fields of light – the aura. When in motion, these fields produce color. Aura photography, which has its roots in Kirlian photography and which similarly provides pictures of the aura and its colors, is made possible with the Progen camera, an advanced electromagnetic field imaging technology. The BodyTalk System understands the bodymind will function at optimum levels once the organs, endocrines, body parts and systems have been synchronized. The practitioner uses neuromuscular feedback and comprehensive protocol of questions to tap into the body's built-in wisdom regarding its needs. Specific breathing and tapping sequences are used to establish new pathways allowing the bodymind to access its own natural healing abilities. Cosmic Attunements involve forging a personal bond and aligning the client's energies with the archangel or ascended master who specializes in working with the particular long-term issue or day-to-day challenge being faced lending support for healing or rebalancing, and accelerating growth. Chiropractic procedure is directed at evaluating causative factors in the biomechanical and structural derangement of the spine, which could affect the nervous system and the body’s natural defense mechanisms. Coaching provides assistance and support in bridging the gap between one’s present life situations to a desired future. Colon Hydrotherapy or colonic irrigation, is the cleansing of the large intestine (colon) with purified water for: removal of toxic material; preparation for lower bowel examination, surgery, prior to and after Barium x-ray; relief of intestinal stress; and stimulation of intestinal muscles to enhance appropriate function. Counseling is a dialogue process through which individuals, couples, families, and/or groups are enabled to move toward greater congruence of thought/desire/behavior, personal growth, spiritual transformation, and wellness. Crystals Metaphysically, the quartz crystal can be easily "programmed" to help provide a positive outcome. It can clear away negative energy from the aura and realign the chakra (energy) centers of the body. DNMS is a therapeutic technique that resolves lifelong problems stemming from unmet childhood developmental needs. EMDR is a therapeutic technique to resolve trauma experience. Energy Work is a general term used to describe healing modalities that detect imbalances in the body's energy fields and then correct them. Energy work includes Reiki, Healing, Touch, Therapeutic Touch, Cranio-Sacral, Pranic Healing, Zero Balancing, Energetic Chelation Therapy and others. It may also encompass work by energy healers who have studied indigenous healing methods or who have intuitive understanding of human energy. See "Reiki" or "Healing Touch" for practitioners of those modalities. Far Infrared Technology Infrared waves are produced by living organisms – including human beings. Called a life force, it is essential to what lives and grows on earth. Far-infrared ceramic-reflective fibers absorb energy emanated by the body, transform it into warmth and reflect it back into the body to the cellular level. Kenkowave technology uses invisible infrared waves to penetrate below the surface to work at the cellular level to increase circulation and reduce inflammation to accelerate the process of recovery and relieve pain. Feng Shui (pronounced fung shway) is the ancient Chinese practice of arranging a physical environment to maximize balanced energy, or chi, through the balance of the five elements. Also known as the art of placement and acupuncture for the home, feng shui says that if a living area, a building, a garden, or a community has good chi, then its inhabitants will be equally healthy. Healing Touch is an energetic approach to healing – restoring balance and harmony to the energy system so the person can self-heal. Herbs/Herbals are plants or plant parts used to make medicine, food flavors, or aromatic oils for soaps and fragrances. Homeopathy "Like cures like." Based on the Law of Similars, homeopathy is a nontoxic system of remedies which match specific symptom patterns to stimulate the body's natural healing responses. Hot Stone Massage involves the use of heated, oiled stones applied to the body with gentle massage movements to relieve muscle tension and promote relaxation and healing. Hypnotherapy uses both the power of suggestion and trancelike states to access the deepest levels of the mind to effect positive changes in a person’s behavior and to treat a range of health conditions. Kinesiology is a fast, simple, effective method of releasing pain and stress and locating and correcting some of the emotional and metaphysical causes of disease. This method of healing works on the body's energy fields and is usually effective in helping a wide range of health problems. Light Language is based on the light speed healing techniques of the Master Healers of Mexico. It uses the energy, frequency and vibration of color and shape in grid sequences to create new blueprints for behavioral patterns, thought, and being. These grids reshape energy fields, create new foundations, support appropriate planetary and social consciousness, and provide a powerful healing tool for dis-ease. “Living” Pi-Water can hydrate, lubricate and energize living cells and help maintain alkaline pH. As scientists explore the role of energy in our bodies, they recognize the importance of water in the conduction of electricity and magnetic energy in our bodies. The microclusters of pi mag water allow it to pass through cell membranes more easily. Calcium ions are added which increase cellular activity and thus its ability to remove toxic wastes and bring in nutrients and oxygen. The addition of a magnetic field reduces surface tension and enhances the body’s ability to absorb the water. Magnetic forces were prized for restorative properties in Ancient Greece, Eqypt, and China. Today, Magnetic therapy is well established in Japan, China, India, Austria and Germany. Gary Null’s book, “Healing with Magnets,” lists 8 general uses for magnets: relief from pain and discomfort, reduce inflammation and improve circulation, antimicrobial effect, stress reduction, correction of central nervous system disorders, energy enhancement, quicker healing, and increased athletic endurance and performance. Massage: adult, infant, and pediatric relieves muscle tension and promotes relaxation and healing. Infant massage enhances parent-child bonding. Myofascial Work is a hands-on therapeutic technique that applies a light, stretching pressure with specific directions into the body’s fascia (connective tissue). This is done in order to release the fascia from surrounding tissue to which it may have become fastened. Natural Products & Supplements such as vitamins, minerals, and enzymes add value to the, often vitamin depleted, food we consume thereby enhancing overall nutritional value. Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct profession of primary health care, emphasizing prevention, treatment and the promotion of optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and modalities, which encourage the self-healing process. The philosophical approach of naturopathic medicine includes prevention of disease, encouragement of the body's inherent healing abilities, natural treatment of the whole person, personal responsibility for one's health, and education of patients in health-promoting lifestyles. Orthopedic Massage is therapeutic bodywork designed to treat pain or injuries caused by dysfunction in the locomotor system. It is a broad spectrum of diverse techniques such as: trigger point therapy, deep transverse friction, myofascial approaches, and muscle energy technique. The practitioner evaluates the client's condition, symptoms, and complaints and then customizes the treatment for optimum effectiveness. Qi Gong is an Oriental system of gentle movement which clears the energy meridians and balances the flow of energy through those meridians, thereby enhancing health and well-being. Raindrop Therapy uses essential oils, applied to the spinal column, to reduce inflammation, enhance proper alignment, equalize and synergize energy frequencies of the body and mind, and ward off potentially damaging viruses and bacteria. Regression Therapy involves the use of hypnosis to guide individuals to unresolved life experiences, sometimes from a past-life, enabling them to recall and reconcile the experience, often leading to a cure. Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) means “Universal Energy." An ancient healing technique, Reiki facilitates wound healing, assists in the relief of pain, tension and fatigue by balancing the body’s energies. Reiki is non-invasive and is administered through specific hand positions placed gently on or above the recipient’s entire body. Reiki supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Reflexology is an ancient Chinese technique that uses pressure-point massage (usually on the feet, but also on the hands and ears) to restore the flow of energy throughout the entire body. Shiatsu (Shi) Finger (Atsu) pressure is a Japanese healing art rooted in the practice and philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It incorporates various pressure techniques referred to as acupressure and Japanese massage techniques referred to as AMMA. Shiatsu addresses the body’s energy system both therapeutically and preventatively for healing and health maintenance. Shamanism The distinguishing characteristic of shamanism is its focus on a trance state in which the soul may leave the body and ascend to the sky (heavens) or descend into the earth (underworld). The shaman makes use of spirit helpers, with whom he or she communicates to help answer questions that lead to healing. Spirituality is an essential component of the whole person. Incorporating elements of spirituality, such as transcendence, faith, devotion, and spirit-fire (to name a few), into a healing practice enhances integration of the body/mind/spirit continuum. Yoga means ‘union’: the integration of physical, mental, and spiritual energies that enhance health and well-being through a combination of postures, breathing, and meditation or focused concentration. |
